The City of Lake Wales Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is expanding more affordable housing in the Northwest Neighborhood.
The CRA provided $46,500 in funding to the Florida Development Corporation (FDC) to build a new house on B Street.
“Our affordable housing program is accelerating,” James Salton, City Manager said. “This will be the fifth house built in the city’s affordable housing program,” Slaton noted.
Two new houses and two refurbished houses were completed earlier this year as part of the Keystone Challenge Fund initiative.
“This is the beginning of many more affordable houses coming to the Northwest Neighborhood,” Darrell Starling, CRA Project Manager said.
The FDC is a progressive real estate development company founded in 2016. Its founders have more than 60 years of collective experience in affordable housing development, community and economic development, weatherization, financial and project management.
