City Manager

Responsibilities
The City Manager is the city's Chief Administrative Officer, Purchasing Agent and is responsible for all city operations, capital assets, and financial resources.

Kenneth Fields began as City Manager in 2013 and has lived and worked in Florida for close to twenty years and has previously served as Manager or Assistant Manager for the City of Hollywood, Islamorada, Village of Islands in the Florida Keys, and the Seminole Tribe of Florida. He began his career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he served as Director of Budget and Research and Chief Labor Negotiator. He also worked in the private sector as a Management Consultant to state and local governments based in Washington DC and as the business administrator for a software research institute associated with Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He is a member of both the International City/County Management Association and the Florida City and County Management Association. He holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
